I’m the one in the back making the weird ass face. 🙂

Hey, my name is Hannah Groves I have always loved doing things that included some body of water. Whether it was hanging out on the lake tubing or just explore the local creek, I have always found a ton of joy near water. Especially the first time I ever went whitewater rafting. After that first trip down the Pigeon River, I was hooked. Those rafting trips with camp and family inspired me to finally become a raft guide in the summer of 2013. My first working whitewater experience was on the Nantahala river with Rolling Thunder River Co. Ever since this summer I have continued to fall deeply in love with whitewater and the river community it influences. Granted I don’t have much experience other than a few costumer trips on the Pigeon and the French Broad, my entire summer guiding the Nantahala, and a couple of fun runs done the Ocoee with our sister Rolling Thunder outpost during the 2013 summer. Of course that is always gonna change with new rivers being guided, different boating techniques being learned, and different experiences being lived! During all of this whitewater involvement I also am juggling college and figuring out what to do after I finally graduate. Hopefully through college I will be able to combine my love of the outdoors and river sports, my future hope of owning my own business, and my artistic abilities. This site will mainly focus on the outdoors part of my life and my continuing development in the river community. My hopes are that others will be open to furthering the information on this site such as river news and product reviews and that those who are interested in becoming a part of this community will be inspired more so to do it. Ya’ll enjoy!
